Riverdale Dunes & The Knolls golf courses provide Denver Colorado with 36 holes of premier public golf that are maintained to private golf club standards. Upon opening in 1985, the Dunes Course became the top public golf destination in Colorado, as well as the most recognized and decorated public course in the state. If you really really love golf than you probably would like to play golf in Scotland. Now you can get that experience with better weather and much better course conditions and save the air fare on top of that!! Designed by renowned architects Pete and Perry Dye many of the holes are patterned after legendary courses in Scotland and Ireland. Strategically placed pot bunkers, mounds, water hazards, and of course the signature railroad ties makes this a “One of a kind Golf Experience” in mile high Denver Colorado. The Knolls golf course is a traditional layout in a park like setting among mature trees with an abundance of water hazards that meander through the course. Elevated greens and ample bunkering put a premium on the approach shot on many of the holes. Both are “Must Play” Denver Colorado golf courses featuring Bent Grass greens, tees, and “fairways” with superior course conditions and friendly service. Two completely different golf courses located and easy 10-15 minutes from Denver International Airport and downtown Denver Colorado. The Dunes has hosted more prestigious events than any other public course in the region. Among these are the 1993 USGA Public Links Championship, the 1996 & 1997 Nike Tour Colorado Classic, numerous amateur and professional state championships, as well as state and national event qualifiers. In September 2005 the Dunes hosted the Colorado PGA Section Championship. The Dunes has also been voted as the #1 public golf course in Colorado 19 of the past 20 years by the Colorado Golf Magazine. It was voted the 2nd best new course in the United States by Golf Digest in 1986. It was recognized as one of the best 75 public courses by Golf Digest and was on Golf Magazine’s list of the best 50 courses in America under $50. Both courses provide various teeing areas that stretch from 4884 yds. to 7067 yds. giving golfers of all skill levels an enjoyable challenge.
